Agri-Net-Zero - The Ultimate Solution
As per the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), an ideal Net Zero program should:
- Send less GHG to the atmosphere from its existing processes (i.e. Climate Change Mitigation)
- Modify its own processes so as to reduce GHG emissions over time (i.e. Climate Change Adaptation)
Moreover, the IPCC guidelines further specify the level of priority behind attending these sources of emissions as:
- The entry point into longer-term emissions reducing activities.
- Applied only to “Impossible-to-Abate” emissions in sectors without equivalent and available zero-carbon operations.
In reality, however, the paths followed by the corporate citizenry rarely attend the above objectives. It is only through Agri-Net-Zero that they can meet these goals most effectively and offset their Carbon Footprint. And, in the process, produce safe & sustainable food for the mankind!
